Finding a safe, comfortable, and affordable place to live in a new country can be challenging — but we’re here to make it simple for you.
Barcelona offers a variety of student accommodation options that suit different lifestyles and budgets. Whether you prefer to stay with a local Spanish family for a more immersive cultural experience, rent a room in a shared apartment with other international students, or live independently in a private flat or student residence — we help you choose what fits you best.
Student residences are becoming more popular among Indian students for their convenience, included services (like meals, cleaning, Wi-Fi), and vibrant student community.
If you’re looking for a more economical option, shared apartments are the most budget-friendly, allowing you to live with other students while saving money.
✨ At Studies Barcelona, we understand the specific needs of Indian students — and we work closely with you to find housing that fits your budget, location preferences, and academic schedule. Whether you’re coming alone or with friends, we’ll help you feel at home from day one.

At Studies Barcelona, we offer free guidance to help you through the process of obtaining your student visa and mandatory health insurance — two essential steps before starting your academic journey in Spain.
We collaborate with trusted visa professionals and health insurance providers that offer affordable digital student health insurance approved for Spanish visa applications. You will never pay any commission to us — our goal is simply to guide you towards the best options.
To apply for your student VISA you will need: A letter of acceptance from your school or university in Spain, proof of sufficient financial resources during your stay, valid health insurance covering your full stay, criminal background certificate (with apostille), medical certificate, proof of residence in Spain, passport copy and, if needed, authorization from legal guardians or representatives.
➡️ If you plan to bring family members, you’ll also need documents proving the family relationship, and everyone must pay the corresponding visa fees.
You can apply for your visa at one of the following Spanish offices:

Not necessarily. Many universities in Barcelona offer bachelor’s and master’s degrees fully in English. However, learning some Spanish can help you adapt faster to daily life.
It is recommended to start the visa process at least 3 months in advance, as the approval time can vary depending on the consulate and time of year. Starting early helps avoid delays and ensures a smooth preparation.
Most business schools in Barcelona begin their academic year in September or October, although some programs also offer January or April intakes. It’s important to check the specific start dates for each program and apply well in advance.
Most students spend between €1000 and €1,800 per month (₹90,000 to ₹1,62,000,), depending on lifestyle and type of accommodation. Shared flats are the most affordable option.
Yes. Studies Barcelona collaborates with immigration lawyers who guide you through the process if you wish to stay in Spain to work or apply for residency after completing your studies. They help you understand your options and the legal requirements step by step.
“I decided to study for a Master's at IQS. The university in Barcelona is good enough in rankings and costs way less. I was in the USA for a study abroad program. Despite the huge numbers of Indian students over there, Barcelona has a strong international student community and is comparatively more accepting culture”
“I’ve got the visa acceptance to study at UE Business School within weeks. In February-25 I found a job in digital marketing. Currently, I am exploring with Studies Barcelona some possible language courses to extend my visa. If someone is willing to learn culturally in any known or new language should choose Spain or Barcelona in particular”
