To access a public university in Catalonia you need at least a DELE B2, although a DELE C1 or equivalent is recommended for university entrance courses (PCE or PAU).

Created in 1968, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) was the first program offered by the IB and is taught to students between the ages of 16 and 19. Several studies indicate that there are numerous advantages to choosing the DP. Each credit is equivalent to approximately 25 hours of work. A Master’s degree lasts between 60 and 120 ECTS. A doctorate lasts a minimum of 3 years.

As official private universities in Catalonia we find the Ramon Llull University (URL) with their respective federated entities, the International University of Catalonia (UIC) and the Abat Oliba University (UAO-CEU).
