Student visa of more than 90 days

To get a student visa, follow these steps:

National visa application form, photographs, visa fees and passport.
Receive a letter of admission from an authorized educational institution with the study plan, the start date and the duration of the course. Proof of payment of tuition or reservation. A course and a minimum attendance of 20 hours per week are required.
Proof of financial resources, including accommodation in Barcelona. Studies Barcelona collaborates with Livensa, Yugo and other private vacation rental companies, and can help you with finding and certifying initial or full-stay accommodation.
Academic qualifications of the applicant. (Studies Barcelona collaborates with the Spanish Agency for Legal Advice for visa processing and degree validations).
Criminal record certificate with the Hague Apostille (check with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or esanad.nic.in). These documents are sent by the BLS/Consulate to Spain and evaluated there.
Obtain a medical certificate and a health insurance policy. Studies Barcelona collaborates with Swiss Care, which offers unbeatable prices and services.
Sworn translation is required, except for the passport and proof of funds. Studies Barcelona offers the service of Harsha Maheshwari.
Special policies apply for minors.

Note that the process varies slightly depending on the jurisdiction. You must book an appointment with BLS, but in Delhi it is not necessary to physically attend the consular section.

NIE: Identification number for foreigners

The NIE will give you the right to travel within the European Union and to work up to 30 hours a week, as long as it is compatible with your studies. Estudios Barcelona and the lawyer Helena Segú will accompany you throughout the process, and also in case you need additional services, such as obtaining permanent residence.
